Your friendly neighborhood indie hip-hop duo Little Stranger premieres the latest music video for Won’t Amount To Nothin’ from their 2018 Styles & Dynamics release. The band which is made up of vocalist/guitarist/everything-instrumentalist John Shields and emcee Kevin Shields from Charleston, SC, delivers catchy hip-hop hooks, silky smooth melodies, and clever lyrics reminiscent of Gorillaz and Miike Snow.

Emcee and melodica wizard, Kevin Shields says, “The video was inspired by classic hidden-camera prank shows from the 90s and early 2000s, like Trigger Happy TV, as well as my dream to wear a real-life caterpillar suit. The whole day was a surreal adventure, shimmying around Brooklyn and even running into Questlove of The Roots during the shoot.”

The song was originally written by John’s dad in the early 80s and was revamped by the band for this release. It’s a classic underdog story: the feeling that nothing is going your way and everyone trying to bring you down. The idea for the video came to Little Stranger many years ago and this track was a perfect pairing.
