This is a submission-based publication: Find our guidelines here.

behind the name

Inspired by the correlation of human happiness and pursuing the American Dream of a 9 to 5 job, we couldn't help but wonder:

Is your 9 to 5 fueling your passion for life, for your art, and personal growth? If not, how can we move towards feeling supported in our creative endeavors? Basically if your 9 to 5 isn't fueling your creative should probably quit and do the damn thing that you actually want to be doing.

The idea for 9 To 5 was to give Charleston the first exclusive and tangible photojournalistic publication in support of the growing music scene.
